A burglar alarm is monitored when the alarm system is connected via telephone line or radio network or both to a remote central station known as alarm receiving centre (ARC).
The ARC monitors the alarm signals from the protected premises 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and alerts the key holders and or the Police as necessary.
A monitored alarm will incur annual service charges in addition to the installation costs of the respective alarm package.

Benefits of Monitored Alarm
Your home or business will be monitored by our central station 24/7 around the clock.
A monitored Alarm, which holds a valid Unique Reference Number (URN) will qualify for Police response. The Police will no longer respond to a bell-only alarm, unless there is additional evidence of a crime being committed.
A ''Personal Attack'' signal from a monitored alarm will be immediately policed, which gives you the piece of mind of knowing that help is on its way.
With a monitored alarm more than 65% of faults can be resolved by remote diagnosis and resets without the need for an Engineer to attend.
Most insurance companies recommend and offer discounts for a monitored alarm system.
